Organization Settings

Organization Settings is where you set how your organization is identified across Apptonomy and control the destructive actions that live in the Danger Zone. Open it from Settings in the organization menu.

  • You need to be the owner or an admin to edit organization settings.
  • The Danger Zone — ownership transfer and organization deletion — is owner-only.

On the Settings page, click Edit Settings. The name, timezone, icon, and engine-improvements fields become editable.

Type into Organization Name. This is the name teammates and invitations see.

Use the Timezone search box to find your zone by city or offset. The timezone determines when scheduled audits run and how dates are shown for your organization.

Under Organization Icon, click Upload Icon (or Change Icon to replace an existing one). The image must be:

  • PNG or JPEG
  • Square (equal width and height)
  • At most 1024×1024 pixels

Apptonomy resizes the image to 256×256 for display. To clear an icon, click Remove Icon.

Click Save Changes. To back out without saving, click Cancel — that discards edits to the name, timezone, icon, and consent toggle.

The Engine improvements toggle controls whether your organization contributes anonymized telemetry that helps improve Apptonomy’s engines. The telemetry is limited to anonymized dismissal patterns, structured reasons, and redacted memos — raw app names are not collected.

  • On paid plans below Enterprise, this is on by default until you change it.
  • On Enterprise, it’s off by default until you change it.
  • Until your billing plan finishes loading, the toggle reads as off.

Switch it off any time to opt out, or on to opt in. Learn more links to the Terms of Service.

After you save, the page leaves edit mode and shows your updated name, timezone, and icon. The read-only Organization ID field near the bottom is your organization’s stable identifier — useful when contacting support.

The Danger Zone holds irreversible organization-level actions and is only reachable by the owner.

Permanently deletes the organization and everything in it — all projects and audits immediately, all members and pending invitations, and, if you have an active subscription, it cancels that subscription (it won’t renew, and the current period isn’t prorated). To confirm, type DELETE <your organization name> exactly into the confirmation box, then click Delete Organization. If you have an active subscription, a short exit survey appears first.

The Danger Zone also shows a Transfer Ownership option, which will move the owner role to another member by email (the previous owner becomes an admin).
