First-Run Onboarding

The first time you sign in, Apptonomy sets up your workspace and walks you to your first audit. This page is a map of that flow so nothing catches you off guard.

A brand-new account gets an organization automatically. If provisioning is still in flight when you land, you’ll see an account-setup screen for a moment. In the rare case the workspace needs a name from you, a create-organization dialog appears — enter a name and continue. The organization is your team’s container for projects, members, and billing.

Before the project step, first-time users see a Welcome to Apptonomy! screen. It explains the core loop — paste your app URL, get your first audit, and Apptonomy turns the insights into ranked actions and re-audits on your cadence. Choose Create My First Project to continue. You see this once; it doesn’t reappear on later sign-ins, and it’s skipped if you’ve already started a paid or trial plan.

Onboarding then opens the project creator. A project represents one app tracked across both stores, so this is where you identify the app you want to work on. Once the project is created, you’re taken into it and can run your first audit.

Once you’re in the app on a trial or active plan, a Getting started card appears on your dashboard tracking your progress. It has three steps:

  1. Create your first project — the Create Project action takes you to your projects.
  2. Run your first audit — the Run Audit action takes you to your projects to kick off an audit.
  3. Connect store credentials (optional) — the Connect action opens the store-link settings for your project.

The card shows how many of the required steps you’ve completed and marks each one done as you go. The first two steps are required; connecting store credentials is optional but unlocks publishing changes back to the store and syncing analytics. The card disappears once both required steps are complete, and you can dismiss it at any time from its menu.

Onboarding is done when you have an organization, at least one project, and one completed audit. At that point the Getting started card’s required steps read as complete and your project’s Watchtower shows real audit results.
