Publish a Revision

Publishing takes the draft you’ve been building and pushes it to the store. You preview the whole listing first, then publish — Apptonomy sends your text to App Store Connect or Google Play Console across every language you’ve configured.

Before you start

A linked store. If the store isn’t connected, the publish button reads Link App Store or Link Google Play and opens the linking flow instead. See App Store linking or Google Play linking.
A plan that includes store publishing. Publishing directly to the stores is a paid feature. Without it, you’ll hit an upgrade prompt. See plans and entitlements.
Edit access to the project.

Publish the listing

1. Open Publishing

In the sidebar under Listing Edit & Publish, choose Publishing. Use the store switcher to select the store you’re publishing to — you publish one store at a time.

2. Review the preview

The page shows your updated listing for that store: each text field with its character usage, plus the current icon and screenshots. Each section has an Edit link that jumps to the matching Asset Editor tab if you spot something to fix.

3. Publish Now

Click Publish Now. Confirm at the “Publish to {store}?” prompt — this pushes your draft to the store. Apptonomy then shows a live progress view that tracks the push step by step, advancing through each language and field as it’s submitted. The push runs in the background, so you can leave the page and it keeps going; a full multi-language publish can take a few minutes or longer depending on how many languages and translations are involved.

What gets pushed, per store

Publishing from this page sends your text/metadata across all your languages. The fields differ by store:

App Store Connect — Title, Subtitle, Description, Keyword Field, Promotional Text, and What’s New (release notes).
Google Play Console — Title, Short Description, and Full Description.

A few things publish through a different path or not at all:

Screenshots publish separately, from the Screenshots editor (Exports tab), where you choose one language or all. App Store screenshots go to a pending build you finalize in App Store Connect.
The icon is not pushed by Apptonomy yet — update it directly in the store console.

Multiple languages

A publish sends your source language plus every target-language translation you’ve set up. Languages a store doesn’t support are skipped automatically. Set your languages under target languages; the full workflow is in listing localization.

Verify it worked

The live progress view walks each step of the push as it happens. When it finishes, the revision is recorded in Publishing History, where the entry shows as Completed (or Failed) — so you can confirm the outcome later even if you left the page mid-publish. For the App Store, do the final review and release of the pending build in App Store Connect.

Troubleshooting

The button says “Link App Store” / “Link Google Play”

The store isn’t connected for this project. Click the button to link it, then the button becomes Publish Now. See App Store linking or Google Play linking.

I hit an upgrade prompt when I tried to publish

Direct store publishing requires a plan that includes it. See plans and entitlements.

My keyword changes didn’t appear on Google Play

They never will — the Keyword Field is App Store only. On Google Play, keywords are handled through your Title, Short Description, and Full Description, not a dedicated field.

My screenshots or icon didn’t update

Those don’t publish from this page. Screenshots publish from the Screenshots editor’s Exports tab; the icon isn’t published by Apptonomy yet.

Nothing seems to happen after several minutes

Check Publishing History for the status. A publish that never reports back is automatically marked Failed after 30 minutes; open the entry to see the error, then try again.
