App Store Supported Languages
App Store Connect accepts localized listing metadata in 39 languages. This table lists each one with its Apptonomy platform ID and the App Store locale code Apptonomy publishes to. This is a subset of Apptonomy’s full locale set — Google Play supports more languages. For the complete three-way mapping (platform ID ↔ App Store ↔ Google Play), see Locale IDs.

A few codes don’t follow the obvious pattern: the Hebrew platform ID iw_il publishes as he, and Spanish (Latin America) es_419 publishes as es-MX on the App Store. Chinese uses script codes (zh-Hans, zh-Hant) rather than region codes.
How this is sourced
Section titled “How this is sourced”This table is generated from Apptonomy’s master locale table (A7Y_LANG), which drives the App Store language picker in the app — a language is App Store–supported when it carries an App Store code. Apple can add languages over time; when it does, the master table is updated and this list changes with it. Codes are the values Apptonomy sends to App Store Connect.
