Slack
Apptonomy can post scheduled-audit results into a Slack channel, so your team sees each run without anyone logging in. You connect Slack once at the organization level, then choose a delivery channel per project.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”- You need an owner or admin role in the organization to connect or disconnect an integration.
- You need permission to install apps into your Slack workspace, or someone who can approve the install.
- Slack delivery is part of a higher plan tier. See Plans & entitlements for what’s included.
Connect Slack to your organization
Section titled “Connect Slack to your organization”1. Open Integrations
Section titled “1. Open Integrations”Go to your organization’s Integrations page. The Slack card shows under Connect an Integration.
2. Add to Slack
Section titled “2. Add to Slack”Click Add to Slack. A Slack authorization window opens. Pick the workspace you want, review the requested access, and approve it.
3. Confirm the connection
Section titled “3. Confirm the connection”When the window closes, Slack appears under Connected with your workspace name and a Connected status badge. You can remove it any time with Disconnect — that also clears any project-level channel choices that depend on it.
Choose a delivery channel for a project
Section titled “Choose a delivery channel for a project”Channel selection lives with each project’s audit schedule, so different projects can post to different channels.
1. Open the project’s scheduled audits
Section titled “1. Open the project’s scheduled audits”In the project, go to Settings and open the Scheduled Audits tab.
2. Pick a channel
Section titled “2. Pick a channel”In the Slack Delivery section, choose a channel from the list of channels Apptonomy can post to. Leave it unset to skip Slack delivery for that project.
If Slack isn’t connected yet, this section links you to the organization Integrations page to connect it first.
Verify it worked
Section titled “Verify it worked”After the next scheduled audit runs, its report is posted to the channel you selected. If nothing arrives, confirm the integration still shows Connected on the Integrations page and that a channel is selected on the project’s Scheduled Audits tab.
